A Wild Sheep Chase

Inspired by Haruki Murakami's novel A Wild Sheep Chase, this design explores the blurred boundary between reality, memory, and imagination.

A gathering of strange and elusive creatures fills the composition, each appearing familiar yet impossible to define. At its centre is the sheep—a recurring symbol of mystery, pursuit, and the unknowable forces that quietly shape our lives.

Rather than illustrating the novel directly, the artwork captures its dreamlike atmosphere, where ordinary experiences give way to surreal encounters and hidden meanings. The animals become fragments of a wandering narrative, inviting viewers to create their own connections and interpretations.

A Wild Sheep Chase celebrates the beauty of uncertainty and the curious journeys we undertake in search of something we cannot fully explain.
