The Journey of a Knight

Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke — a film about crossing into worlds that do not belong to ordinary time, where ancient forces move through the forest and the boundary between the living and the mythical grows thin.

A knight rides out of the magical forest — a place that was never quite real — and into something stranger still. Ruins of a civilisation that could be ancient or could be yet to come. A white whale moves silently through a pink sky. Stone lions watch from the shadows. A golden deer climbs the staircase ahead, certain of the destination even when the path is unclear.

This is a journey without a map. The knight does not know if he is travelling into the past or the future, into legend or into ruin. But the answer lives somewhere inside him, steady and unspoken, and so he keeps going.

Some journeys cannot be explained. They can only be made.
